Reblogged from Steve McCurry's Blog:
Don't walk behind me; I may not lead.
Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow.
Just walk beside me and be my friend.
- Albert Cam
If we are a metaphor of the universe, the human couple is the metaphor par excellence,
the point of intersection of all forces and the seed of all forms.
The couple is time recaptured, the return to the time before time.
There's blogging, and then there's Steve McCurry! I have never reblogged before, but how can I not?

Stunning Jo, absolutely stunning.
I reblogged a couple of times. Once about an issue that I felt was worth publicising, and the other was to discuss something so rather than link I reblogged. I actually wouldn’t do it again – rather provide a link now.
But that is a super post of his.
I normally share on Twitter or my Facebook Restlessjo page, but there weren’t any links that I could see. And you’re right- it’s stunning.
I stumbled upon Steve’s blog soon after i stated blogging, and wanted to run and take down all my images in shame
His work is beyond amazing!
Exactly! I’ve never reblogged before and wasn’t sure if it was a good idea, but…I did!
Inspirational!
I love his work in general, Sam, but this one really spoke to me.
I can understand why.
Great. A beautiful post!
I just looked and looked, Dina. My travels will never take me this far, but I can follow in photos.
That opening pic is stunning!
Makes me want to throw my camera away in despair, Frank, but isn’t he simply amazing?
Absolutely!!! … but keep your camera
Beautiful pictures.
Truly, Connie. Something to aspire to. (in my dreams)
Great post: good quotes and amazing photos.
I heard another version of the Cam quote:
Don’t walk behind me; I may not lead.
Don’t walk in front of me; I may not follow.
In fact, just bugger off and leave me alone.
You might know that’s the one I;d remember
Eek! ‘I’d’
Eek! ‘You’d'! Thanks, Tilly.
Thanks for sharing this gem, Jo. Although you’ve got quite the gem of a blog yourself!
Elisa
Bless you, Elisa. I’m collecting the wonderful comments I’ve received lately for when I’m in one of my “down” moods. Thank you so much!
What a great idea. One of my dearest friends tried to have my blog printed so that I’d always have a copy of my first year. She couldn’t figure out how to do it properly, but the thought that she tried will always make my day! I hope your down moods are few and far between.

Lovely thought! My husband bought me a memory stick recently so I could collect all my scribblings in one spot. As I was doing so, I accidentally deleted one of my posts. Nightmare! Took me ages to realise that I could restore it.
Stunning photos. And the places he’s been to…WOW.
Thanks for sharing this, Ms. Jo.
Makes me feel I should have started LIVING my life 40 years ago, Tita. But I still couldn’t achieve this.
Wow – I am speechless. I felt every couple`s love. What a wonderment. tytytytytyty and a kiss
Incredible, isn’t it? If you’ve never seen his work before, it has enormous impact. I am totally in awe.
