Do I need a logo? I’m not sure. I’ve never taken part in Cee’s fun foto challenge before. But I do know that I love water, and that’s this week’s subject. So I’m going to shower you with a few of my damper moments.

Ooh, look Mum!

Water feature in the Rynek (market square), Wroclaw

A little warm rain in the botanic gardens

The moorhen doesn’t seem to mind

Japanese water gardens always look so serene

Or you can have dancing waters, with a musical accompaniment

Especially pretty by night

I like my water on the wild side too

Or lapping gently at a shoreline

With a few bubbles in it, for fun

Or the odd branch, dangling down

Most stunningly, as part of a “waterfall” light installation
I probably should stop now. My eyes are tired, and maybe yours are too. But I’m not good at doing things by halves, so maybe just a couple of my lovely Portugal to finish with.

Water tickling a sunny square in Lagos, the Algarve

And sparkling in the Douro at Porto

So many lovely shots I have of the Douro

But it’s time to let the sun set, at Peso da Regua
I did say that I love water, didn’t I? And I know that I’m not on my own, so visit Cee’s page to join in with the challenge, or view the many other great entries.

Great shots – you don’t NEED the logo. It’s your blog after all
Well, if you look at it that way… thanks, Alastair.
I don’t do any of the challenges, but it looks like you had fun with this one…water suits you to a T. Great shots.
Many thanks, Lynne. I think you’re very wise. If you have anything of compulsive in your makeup, you’re hooked!
So many lovely shots, Jo. All so different! Each time I think “This one will be my favorite,” and then the next one is too.
Aw, thanks Naomi. You’re very kind. It was an effort to stop. I think I must have more water shots than any other!
I kept thinking “oh, I like this one”, “No this one”. Lovely photographs.
Many thanks Colline. I have no right to be grumpy when I look at some of the pretty places I’ve been.
You really have travelled far and wide.
A great series of water photography. Particularly the first one with the excited kid is fun, but they are all lovely.
Thank you so much, sir. I get nervous when a real photographer comes looking at my blog, but you’re always very kind.
These are all lovely Jo! Thanks for sharing! I love water to and have always lived within five minutes walk of a lake my entire life except the nine months I lived in Paris! Isn’t that strange?
The hard part was choosing some water shots to leave out, Nicole! It would seem that it’s my favourite subject when I look back through my photos. Thanks, hon.
Charming pictures and perfect for the challenge! I think you must like water a lot…
A lot! A lot! A lot, Meg. (well, at least a little bit) Many thanks.
what a marvellous collection of water photos, so many fountains and pools, very restful and cooling thanks jo …the temperature here reached 45C today, and sydney had it hottest day since records began … 47C i think!
That’s terrible, Christine. It must be torture stepping outside. How on earth are those guys managing to play tennis in the Aus Open? Thanks, hon.
I love it! I’ve loved working with the water theme too, so many options!
I know. Amazing when you look back through your photos just how many wet ones there are!
Definitely your element
Yes, it surely is, Paula. Thanks hon.
An irresistible theme for you, Jo! And you’ve done it proud
Thanks, Julie. You just know I could have gone on and on!
You made quite a splash with this post Jo! Loved it
Can’t beat a good splashdown, Jodi! Thank you.
A lovely selection of watery pics, you make me feel quite like going for a paddle, except that any water outside here right now is either by way of snow or ice.
I nearly included some ice shots, Lorna, but I was overstaying my welcome already.
Maybe there will be a category just for ice, in which case you can go to town with those.
Jo these are wonderful photos. I could not pick a favorite, but if I had too it would be waterlily garden just so peaceful and relaxing. Thanks so much for being a part of this challenge, I sure appreciate it.
You’re more than welcome, Cee. I couldn’t believe that I wasn’t already following you, but I think it was because you don’t have a WordPress blog. Rectified now, anyway.
Such cool shots!
Thank you very much!
A lovely theme – water can be so serene or so wild and you’ve captured both. Any snow Jo?
That’s tomorrow’s post, Suze! Not so much as those poor Welsh folk. You?
Fantastic selection again … not going to say that again. Without any doubt – the bubble photo – wins my senses.
It’s a good subject for me, Viveka. I was proud of that bubble shot. My first venture into playing with my photos.
Brilliant shot .. you should get it published somewhere!!!
Shots like that .. you can make money on.
Good heavens, it wouldn’t occur to me! It was just a bit of fun. I’m not a proper photographer, but thank you so much.
I manage to sell two of my photos .. with a bit of luck, couple of years ago – we don’t need to be professionals to sell a photo. Post the photo on a website where companies buy images …
Ok, thanks for the advice. Nothing to loose xx
That is the spirit .. *smile
Splendid water pictures!!! You do love water! Make me really want to visit all the places you shot!
Thank you! I guess that’s the best kind of compliment, if it makes you want to visit.
Beautiful water gallery. So glad you did the post!
Thanks a lot, Amy. Me too!
I feel cool and relaxed just looking at those images.
I’d better keep producing them, huh, Sam? No end in sight to the long hot Summer. (funny- my 6WS today is all snow)
Yes please! No end to the heat, more fires raging down south and we still have 6 weeks of summer left. I would like some snow about now although the images of the blizzard in the UK are a little scary.
Beautiful post Jo , I love it
Welcome back, Jake. Thanks for your visit, hon.
I loved the little girl in your first picture
The kids were so cute. I have a few of them playing with water, Dallas. (can I ask if there was reason you were named that? It just never comes naturally when I think of you)
Debbie is my real name, however, when I was at primary school, one of my classmates borrowed his Dad’s infamous porno movie “Debbie does Dallas” and its stuck ever since – not many people can say that they have the same name as a porn star! It was embarassing when I was younger but I’m used to it now.
How fun! There was me imagining your mum had a yen for a Texas oil baron.
and instead she got a Yorkshireman with an allotment and a shelf fetish!
So much more useful- who needs money? (sore subject!)
All so very gorgeous Jo! Think I like the gardens the best
I was really pleased with most of my Wroclaw shots, Madhu, or maybe it’s just that I took so many, a few of them had to turn out well! Thanks, hon.
Love them all especially the bubbles!
Thank you! The bubbles were fun to do. I must experiment more. (just need a few more hours in the day- like you!)
