Fluffy clouds
Cats
and boat people
Random moments from my Algarve week. I seldom take photos of animals. They have a habit of moving as soon as I point the camera. The three cats intrigued me, however, as they sat and just stared, and stared. I looked around for the hypnotist but he wasn’t anywhere about. The boat, in “dry dock” in Albufeira, was equally unmoving.
It seems so much more than a week since I was there. I have lots of golden moments to share, but there’s no time. I’m off to Lisa’s wedding. SO excited, I can barely type! You can guess what next week’s 6WS is going to be. Meantime, please visit Cate at Show My Face to share your week in six words. Click on the header or the link for details.
I hope to catch up with some of you tomorrow, but I may be a bit giddy!

Those cats are intriguing.
Aren’t they, though? Enigmatic.
The header of your blog always makes me happy on a Saturday morning
Lovely photos too, especially the fluffy clouds!
Oooh and a wedding today! Enjoy!!
It was a busy one, Cessie. Many thanks.
Have a wonderful day at the wedding. I hope everything goes to plan.
A cute idea for your six words – I love those star-ey cats.
Thanks, Viv. It was fabulous! Pics to follow.
Enjoy the wedding! can’t wait to see the pics!
Thanks, Aly. It was amazing! Pics very soon.
The cats are wonderful, how very mysterious having three sitting together like that, I’ve never seen such a thing. Enjoy the wedding, I think you will anyway!
They were very strange, Lorna. They were sitting in that field every evening, but the first time I saw them they were in that unblinking posture- never again.
That looks like it was awesome week seeing those sights.
It was wonderful, Wayne, but it’s faded to distant memory with my daughter’s amazing wedding. Pics to follow.
Nice feel good post Jo and I especially loved the cats, of course
Should I admit this on line, Dallas, but I’m not much of a cat person? Kittens are gorgeous but their older selves I find a bit spooky. But I couldn’t resist that shot.
the cat pic was amazing and love the boat people
I like the boat people too. I always enjoy interesting sculptures and street art. Thanks for commenting.
Sounds like a beautiful trip. Look forward to pictures next week of the wedding.
Don’t think I’ll be able to wait till next week Judy, but I’ll definitely be posting some.
Those three cats are fascinating, when I first saw the pic I thought it must have been photoshopped. They are looking directly at you, you weren’t dangling some tasty treat in front of your camera……where you?
Enjoy the wedding and I hope the weather is good for you
The weather was grim but our hearts were light, Vicky.
No, I didn’t cajole them in any shape or form- they were quite surreal. They may well have been waiting for their tea- it was about that time of day.
Fabulous pictures! The cats are mesmerizing!
Aren’t they just? Thank you.
I love the face of that middle cat!
Great pictures!
Thanks, Dana. Kind of accusing? I think they were waiting for food.
That’s my kind of sofa!
I’ve always loved loved loved cats until I fell inlove with my dogs… I still photograph cats a lot during my travels, and believe it or not, I think they seem to pose for me at times rolling around on their back. Such beautiful, creepy creatures! haha
I tend to think they’re a bit creepy, Antoinette. I prefer dogs, but cats can be so pretty (when it suits them!)
One of my best friends seriously believes cats are evil! She is insanely creeped out by them and I always laugh when she tries to shoo them away, in someone’s house or out in the streets.
those boat people are great! Awesome post… again!
Thanks, Brenda. I’ll be round a bit late this weekend, for obvious reasons.
Great photos! I love the cats! And I can’t wait to see the wedding photos!Enjoy yourself
It was fantastic, Jess! Photos coming up very soon.
Good photos…I liked the boat in the sand with the figures all around! And the cats were cute too. I hope the wedding will be lovely…and will look forward to hearing all about it!
Linda
Thanks, Linda. I’m home but still dazed by the wonder of it all! She’s just left on her flight to Venice.
Lovely cat photos. And hope the wedding all goes well!
Fantastic, Luce. Can’t wait to post some photos.
Great photos! Wonder what those cats were thinking…
Hungry, I suspect. It’s kind of an accusing look.
Such lovely photographs, each of them so different, yet all bright and making me smile! Of course I love the cat trio best… it truly does look like they are posing just for you! “Ok, everyone look at the camera now..”
Many thanks, Josie. My husband insisted everyone would love them, and he was right.
Amazing how close the 3 cats sits – like a statue. Just love that photo. Can’t wait for all the photos from her wedding …. Want so to see that special gown. I hope you will feel today tomorrow … I always say if we don’t feel anything the next morning, the night before has been wasted.
Oh, Viveka- just wait till you see it! Posting later today if I can fit it in. I’m wrecked but still in a bubble.
No rush … glad everything went great and that you felt a bit yesterday.
Beautiful photos, as always! I love clouds…& cats!
Thanks, Ann. No shortage of clouds back in the UK!
Have a wonderful time at the wedding (I LOVE weddings!)
Those cats are just perfect! Are you sure you didn’t hipnotize them?
They surely looked like I did, Dianne. Thanks- it was amazing!
Love the cats and boat people!
Many thanks, Mlissabeth.
The cat photos are awesome! Cats never sit like that together, especially not adult cats.
It was certainly strange, Milka. I thought they were ganging up on me!
we white aussies were all boat people of one kind or another …
That’s a great image, Christine.
Enjoy the wedding Jo. Hope all goes well.
Fantastic David! Pics coming soon. She’s on the plane to Venice now, for the honeymoon.
I bet those three cats were just posing for the picture they just knew would take to show them off a bit. Delightful!
Thanks, Ruthi. Yes, they’re a variation on three wise monkeys!
Those cats! Such posers – classic shot, love it
Good un, isn’t it? Thanks, Suze.
Heehee … Adorable post Jo! Made me smile!
Mission accomplished, Zoe. How are you? Got much online visiting to do in the next week or so.
Love your random shots! Now off to check out the latest on Lisa’s wedding
